HAVE YOU GOT WHAT IT TAKES?

IPL Radio are hosting a song quest where you have the chance to win a share in $2,250 worth of Lakelands Shopping Centre Digital Gift Vouchers! Have fun, shine and show Lakelands your vocal talent!

The event will take place on April 26th and 27th,  from 11:30am – 2:30pm with live performances in the Lakelands Shopping Centre, opposite The Sky Bakery.

This is a vocal competition open to any style of music, for amateur singers.

The song quest will be presented and held by IPL Radio at Lakelands Shopping Centre with special guest judges on the day.

Registration deadline: Close of business Sunday 30 March.

THE SONG QUEST IS OPEN TO:

  • Sparkles (5 -14yrs) – entrants must be 5 years and over as of 27 April 2025.
  • Shining (15 yrs plus) – entrants must be 18 years and over as at 27 April 2025.

The People’s Choice competition will run online from April 30th to May 11th. Winner and runner up will be announced on Monday 12 May 2025.

COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Open to individual entries only.
  • As this is a singing competition, you can do one of the following:

– sing by yourself

– play an instrument or use a backing track

– perform a cover or an original song

– perform any style of music that works for you

– song time limit is 4:30 minutes.

  • Vocal amateur performers only – music to be supplied at the time of registration by usb in an MP3 format.
  • Contestants may sing the same song as another contestant
  • Songs containing vulgar or explicit sex lyrics will not be allowed. Contestants who, during their performance, use vulgar lyrics or perform in an obscene manner will be disqualified from the competition.
  • The order in which each contestant competes shall be determined by random drawing.
  • Not open to paid professional performers.
  • Parental consent must be provided for entrants under the age of 18.
  • Entrants must be a resident within the City of Mandurah and City of Rockingham regions to qualify for prizes.
  • You must be available during the competition date and times detailed below when entering the competition.
  • IPL Radio and Lakelands Shopping Centre reserve the right to refuse or decline entry.
  • Contestants, their families or associates who exhibit offensive behavior during any portion of the contest will disqualify that contestant from the competition. Offensive behavior includes poor sportsmanship, bad manners, and a lack of decorum. If the contestant, their family or associates exhibit offensive behavior after the contestant has competed, and such behavior is in the host establishment, even after the winners are announced, that contestant’s score will be nullified. If the contestant whose score has been nullified is a winning contestant, the next contestant in scoring position for that particular category shall be the winner.
  • The decisions of the judges are final. No arguing with judges is allowed. Any contestant, their family or associates who argue with a judge may be deemed to be using offensive behavior and the contestant may be disqualified from the competition
  • Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash.
